Playwest Mountain Experience

Playwest Mountain Experience is a professional guiding company. Their aim is to take guests away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse them into the incredible local hiking trails surrounding Invermere. Their guides are Invermere residents and are well versed in the local flora & fauna as well as the history of the region. They will inspire and educate guests in a fun and safe environment, learning about the surroundings through storytelling and the odd bad joke.

All of their guides are members of several professional associations, the most notable being the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG). The ACMG has set the standard for professional guiding in Canada for over 50 years. As a minimum standard, all of the Playwest Mountain Experience guides are certified members of the ACMG.

Kootenay Troutfitters

The East Kootenays is world renowned for its trout fishing and majestic scenery. Wild populations of westslope cutthroat trout, rainbow, brook, and mountain bull trout are found in our mountain lakes, rivers, and streams. Mountain whitefish, kokanee salmon, and bass are also resident species. Catch trout in solitude from a float tube on an alpine lake, walk a quiet section of a stream stalking cutthroat and bull trout from pool to pool, or bring the whole family out for a memorable fishing trip.
