We invite you to travel the scenic Columbia Valley Golf Trail located in Kootenay Rockies region British Columbia, and a mere three hour drive west Calgary and and 1.5 hrs south of Banff. A drive that has been called one of the most scenic in Canada; traveling through Banff and Kootenay National parks you will start to appreciate the true beauty of nature. Views of snow-capped rugged peaks, amazing wildlife, and crystal clear lakes and rivers, will be just some of the highlights of your trip west to the Columbia Valley. As you descend into the Valley you will pass through the dramatic Sinclair Canyon, home of historic hot springs.
The Trail’s nine spectacular courses offer a unique golf experience – putting more golf in your reach in less time, just 35 minutes from end to end. The game of golf brings thousands of visitors to the Columbia Valley each year, with a golf season that starts around the end of March and goes until the end of October, as well as nine 18 hole courses – two of which are ranked in the top 100 in Canada (ScoreGolf, 2012) – it is easy to see why golf is a major attraction in the Valley. Each course in the Valley offers a unique golfing experience, from rugged mountain play to open pastoral settings with the challenge of roughly hewn bunkers, wildlife, hills and ravines – you’re sure to find your favorite course here. Plus, how about golfing and skiing in the same day? It happens here!
Between the courses you will discover Invemere on Lake’s warm waters , beautiful beaches, shops, galleries and restaurants , nearby hot springs, adventure and… a great golf vacation!

The closing hole on The Point Course at Copper Point – a championship layout that has been ‘wowing’ golfers since 2004 – is a sweet risk/reward par-4 over water. It’s a fitting finish on a highly strategic course that will require every club in your bag. A natural, lay-of-the-land route with numerous ‘classic’ elements, such as roughly hewn bunkers and excellent use of existing hills and ravines, the architectural merit of this design warrants play on its own.
