#1: Outdoor Adventures

Calling all the thrill-seekers! Situated in BC’s Purcell Mountains, there is no shortage of outdoor adventure here. With ski season running until mid-April at Panorama Mountain Resort, you can get your final runs in on the slopes before hitting a sunny patio with family and friends.

Take on the surrounding terrain with Toby Creek Adventures traveling through the valley and mountain ridges by ATV or side-by-side. Need more thrills? Try their Zip ‘n’ Ride and find yourself soaring through the treetops by zipline before conquering the mountains by ATV.

Prefer to travel by bike? Invermere’s trail network is “wheelie” good! Home to several sanctioned mountain bike trails, developed and maintained by the Columbia Valley Cycling Society, including Mt. Swansea and Lake Lillian, these trails cater to all riders abilities from beginner to advanced. When summer arrives, head to Panorama Mountain Resort and hit your favourite ski routes, this time on bike at the Panorama Bike Park. Alternatively, you can explore the Toby Creek Adventure trails that offer a range of features such as berms, rollers, intermediate-level tabletop jumps and beginner to advanced flow trails.

Looking for something in the alpine? Book a guided hike with Playwest Mountain Experience for the ultimate adventure. Whether you want a half-day hike, a full-day adventure, or even a custom backcountry tour, the perfect trip awaits!

Explore the BC Bird Trail as you meander down the Columbia River Wetlands by canoe or by foot on the Old Coach Trail. Many of the trails are perfect for families and those needing a more relaxed experience taking to the trails and spotting local bird species. Bring your camera!
