COVID-19 Travel Information
Updated October 7, 2021
Like you, we are passionate about exploring British Columbia as a whole, and Invermere & Panorama Mountain Resort specifically.
Rules, advice and policies are changing on a frequent basis. We recommend you follow the advice of the local health authorities to keep yourself and others safe. We encourage travellers to be respectful, thoughtful and considerate, so we can all continue to enjoy everything that our wonderful communities offer.
The communities of Invermere on the Lake & Panorama Mountain Resort have long provided our local residents and destination guests a wonderful, relaxing place to call home – whether it’s for a weekend or a lifetime and we look forward to welcoming our friends from across Canada back.
BC’s provincial health officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry, and the provincial government have prepared valuable information about COVID-19. Please visit https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/covid-19/travel/current.
Canada welcomes back international travellers: As of September 7, the Federal Government will allow fully vaccinated foreign nationals to enter Canada for non-essential purposes, including tourism, as long as they meet entry conditions.
Proof of vaccination and the BC Vaccine Card: Effective September 13, people aged 12 and over will be required to show proof of vaccination to get into many events and businesses in BC.
UPDATE: Starting October 30, 2021, to depart from Canadian airports or travel on VIA Rail and Rocky Mountaineer trains, travellers will need to qualify as fully vaccinated travellers. This will also apply to travellers on cruise ships when the cruise season commences in 2022. More info
We are currently in Step 3 of BC’s Restart Plan as of July 1, 2021. Learn more about the specifics here: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/covid-19/info/restart#step-three
