The East Kootenays is world renowned for its trout fishing and majestic scenery. Wild populations of westslope cutthroat trout, rainbow, brook, and mountain bull trout are found in our mountain lakes, rivers, and streams. Mountain whitefish, kokanee salmon, and bass are also resident species.
